It’s On Us is accepting applications for the 2022-2023 Caucus Chair Leadership Development Program! Caucus Chairs will lead the development of our caucus system, which will be opened up for all It’s On Us students to join in Spring 2023. Once selected, , we’ll be onboarding 12 Caucus Chairs to undergo masterclass training sessions with industry experts this fall. ,
The It’s On US Caucus program provides a chance for student leaders to connect to discuss, brainstorm, and advance common goals and ideas. Starting in Spring 2023, It’s On Us will open membership to our 12 caucuses for students to join, with each caucus representing a specific identity or social group. The caucuses will provide a forum for students to engage in conversations that will be used to shape prevention programming, recruit students, and provide rapid-response channels for our It’s On Us campus chapter network.
We are looking for leadership roles in the following roles for the e 2022-2023 Caucus Chair Leadership program:
*Greek Life encompasses all fraternities and sororities including those affiliated with Interfraternity Council, Panhellenic Council, National Pan-Hellenic Council and Multicultural Greek chapters.
We recognize the intersectionality of identities amongst our caucus positions and encourage applicants to base their selection(s) on the caucus position(s) that interest them most. Students can apply to and select as many caucuses as fit the intersections of their identities.
Caucuses will be led by the 2022-2023 cohort of Caucus Chairs in the Leadership Development Program.
Caucus Chairs will collectively meet for Masterclass sessions bi-monthly. Individual development sessions will be scheduled once a month.
Masterclass sessions will last approximately 1-1.5 hours bi-monthly, with individual development sessions lasting 15-30 minutes.
Caucus Chairs will collectively meet bi-monthly to receive training in various professional organizing and leadership skills. From these training sessions, Caucus Chairs will be equipped to carry out various community engagement projects that will shape It’s On Us campus chapter programming, including listening sessions, Fireside Chats, and Fall Week of Action events. Additionally, Caucus Chairs will be responsible for creating a rapid response network that chapters can leverage in addressing issue-specific problems arising on college campuses.
Caucus Chairs will be selected and onboard the second week of October and be trained for the duration of the Fall 2022 semester. Upon completion of training, Caucus Chairs will begin leading their caucus in monthly meeting calls, event brainstorming sessions, and virtual events. This effort will begin January 2023 and end in April 2023.
The full term of the 2022-2023 Caucus Chairs will last from October 2022-April 2023.
